Portland Elopement Photographers
Hello. We are Dylan & Jess.
We are an elopement photography studio based in Portland, Oregon.
Oregon has my heart and it’s my favorite place on Earth. Most days you can find me snuggling my cats and editing photos, riding my bike through the city, or wandering somewhere nice with couples from all over the world.
I approach elopement photography in a way that is sincere and original. The simplicity of nature inspires my work. If you have an affinity for natural beauty and candid moments we’ll be a great match.
I have been working as a photographer for 10 years. I still have my first film camera, from my 7th grade photography class, and use it almost every week.
I spend most of my days riding and racing bicycles. I also love hiking, camping, and overlanding. I have a vintage motorcycle and spend more time working on it than riding it.
Photography has been a huge part of my life and I’m extremely lucky to be able to use my craft to document so many peoples’ most important memories.
With over 15 years of combined experience, we have documented hundreds of weddings and elopements in some of the most gorgeous corners of the world.
You’ll typically see our work around the Pacific Northwest and California. We are inspired most when we are near the ocean, in the mountains, or in beautiful far away places.
We’re often asked why we shoot elopements and the answer is simple. Where else are you surrounded by love, beauty, happiness and joy every time you go to work? We love the intimate nature of elopements.
Elopements. They’re so hot right now.
Elopements have become extremely popular, for good reason. The typical wedding day events can be excessive for some couples. The pressure to create an event for hundreds of guests can be simply too much.
INSTEAD, YOU CAN SNEAK OFF WITH THE ONE YOU LOVE AND GET MARRIED ON YOUR OWN TERMS.
CONCENTRATE ON WHAT MATTERS MOST, YOUR LOVE.
“Dylan is amazing! Was very knowledgeable about the best places and timing for shots at Yosemite. Went way above and beyond for us. Super friendly, it was like spending the day with an old friend. Can’t recommend him highly enough!”
“Dylan was the most phenomenal photographer for my elopement at Wahclella Falls! We met with him before our elopement and he patiently answered all of my questions. I had seen his work on other elopements and fell in love with the beauty, the light, and emotion in each photo. The day of our wedding, Dylan came prepared with umbrellas and a spirit of adventure. He captured amazing moments between my now-husband and me. He made us feel completely relaxed and encouraged us to climb rocks, bridges, and even showed us another breathtaking location for photos. I would recommend Dylan to anyone and I can’t wait to find another excuse to use his awesome photography talent again.”
“Jess perfectly captured our intimate backyard wedding. Her photos captured the moment and the joy. Nothing felt posed or fake. Her composition and editing are top-notch!”
“Jess was an absolute joy to work with. She was extremely prepared and our family commented on how she worked to make sure she nailed all the shots for our big day. We received a sneak peak the very next day with photos that brought tears to our eyes. She captured our true emotions in those moments and the pictures felt like “us”. I HIGHLY recommend her for any and all events.”
